Alfred Angelo Real Brides
We’re so excited to introduce our December “Real Bride,” Lisa Smith.
Lisa is originally from Rochester, NY and is currently living in Cherry Hill, NJ. She is a mom to 4-year-old Adan, she is working on her master’s degree in Forensic Psychology, and she is a member of the Air National Guard (Who runs the world?…GIRLS!).
Lisa and her husband Kyle were married on July 6, 2013 in Leroy, NY at the Genesee Country Village and Museum.
Her gorgeous dress is Alfred Angelo style 1153.
Lisa and Kyle’s story is a true testament of love finding its way to you if it’s meant to be. The couple first met in 2004 at St. Bonaventure University where they were part of the ROTC program. Kyle was a young cadet who was supposed to give a cordial welcome to the new ROTC members and hand out uniforms. When Lisa stepped up to receive her uniform, Kyle fumbled over his words and couldn’t stop staring at her. The two became close friends, but it stopped there because Lisa had a boyfriend (whomp whomp whoooomp).
Lisa eventually left St. Bonaventure and 7 years passed before she saw Kyle again. On a whim, she sent Kyle a text when she found out she would be training for a new position in Fort Lee, Va. She couldn’t believe what happened next…they ended up at Fort Lee at the same time—she as a trainee and he as an instructor! Once reunited, they knew it was meant to be.
Lisa said, “Our story has always reminded me of the movie ‘The Notebook.’ We’re proof that what is meant to be will always find a way.”
Stop it, you crazy kids. You’re making me cry.
